One couple endured a ´week of hell´ and suffered severe symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea just 24 hours after arriving at the resort.
Another guest became ill with an intestinal infection, and was still suffering symptoms of illness four days later. A local pharmacist was reported to had told one guest that 90% of people he had treated within the space of a week had food poisoning while staying at the Baron Resort, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The dining area beside the pool was infested with pigeons, and bird droppings covered the tables.
