We have received complaints of food poisoning at the Hotel Iberotel in Dahabeya, Egypt, during June, 2010.
Guests at the hotel have suffered symptoms of diarrhoea, stomach cramps and sickness, thought to be linked to poor standards of hygiene and food. Reports also suggested that over 90% of all guests staying at the hotel in June, 2010 were ill after eating contaminated food.
Food was reported to have been left out in the open and covered with flies. Excrement was also reported to have been left by the swimming pool for 24 hours before it was cleaned up.
