We have received complaints of food poisoning at the Mexicana Sharm Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, during May, 2010.
Holidaymakers also complained of poor standards of health and hygiene at the Mexicana Sharm Resort, which is thought to have contributed to the illness. Food poisoning has been reported, and one couple complained that they were ill for five days after eating food in the main restaurant of the hotel, completely ruining their trip.
Another holidaymaker said: "The food ruined our holiday completely. The restaurants served dreadful, tasteless food, and lots of people were ill at the same time." Another guest suffered food poisoning and was ill for three days. Hygiene standards were said to be poor throughout the resort.
