We have received complaints of holiday illness at the Oriental Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt during April, 2010.

One holidaymaker said: “My partner and I both became ill on the third day of our holiday, and we are still not fully recovered two weeks later. Half of the guests were suffering from sickness and diarrhoea at the Oriental Resort, and the hotel staff accepted no responsibility whatsoever."

Other guests complained that the standards of food and hygiene at the Oriental Resort were poor, and that flies swarmed all over food which was left uncovered. Toilets were said to be filthy, and one couple complained of a strong smell of sewage in their room.  family also complained of suffering violent sickness and diarrhoea at the Oriental Resort and stated that the food served in the all-inclusive restaurant was ´appalling´.
