We have recently read reports on TripAdvisor that holidaymakers have complained of sickness after staying at the Ocean Maya Royale Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico during August 2011. Symptoms are reported to have included sickness and stomach cramps.
The hotel is promoted by Thomson and First Choice Holidays. Dining facilities at the hotel include a main buffet restaurant, Mexican and Italian á la carte restaurants and a Tepanyaki Grill. Holidaymakers have blamed poor food hygiene practices for the outbreaks of illness.
