Flamingo Oasis holiday food poisoning in Benidorm

We received reports of Norovirus and food poisoning at the Flamingo Oasis Hotel in Benidorm, during December, 2009 and January, 2010.
Complaints were made by holidaymakers returning from Benidorm, and suffering symptoms of sickness, diarrhoea and gastroenteritis.Four members of one family were violently ill, and although holiday representatives suggested families contracted food poisoning outside the resort, it is thought that poor levels of food and hygiene at the Flamingo Oasis was the cause of illness.
The Flamingo Oasis is an all-inclusive 4-star hotel and complaints were also made about the unhygienic condition of the swimming pool. Children contracted rashes after swimming in the pool and many holidaymakers suffered Gastroenteritis during their stay in January 2010. A strong sewage smell was also reported.
