We have read recent reports on internet review site, TripAdvisor which suggest holidaymakers returning from the Fortress Hotel in Koggala, Sri Lanka, during May 2012 have suffered symptoms of food poisoning.
This hotel is promoted by Virgin Holidays, Kuoni and Hayes and Jarvis amongst others. The Fortress is a 5 star full board hotel which is situated on the beach front.Holidaymakers have complained of poor food preparation and poor food hygiene which is thought to have caused gastric illness.
