Holiday sickness at Chich Khan Hotel in Tunisia
AUGUST 2010
Holiday illness has been reported at the Chich Khan Hotel in Tunisia during August, 2010.

Holidaymakers are reported to have suffered symptoms of vomiting, diarrhoea and sickness at the Chich Khan Hotel, Tunisia, thought to be linked to poor standards of food and hygiene.
Salmonella was confirmed in at least one case. The Chich Khan Hotel is promoted by Thomas Cook as a family resort, offering food and board on an all inclusive basis.
Guests complained that warm food was added to leftovers and served day after day, and cats and birds were often seen in the dining room. Food was left out in the pool bar, open to fly and other insect contamination. Standards of hygiene throughout the hotel were said to be very poor.
